Security Operations Center (SOC) Operator – Night Shift (10pm‑8:30am)

Base Pay Range $20.00/hr – $20.00/hr
Job Purpose As a SOC Operator at Trulieve, you will play a critical role in maintaining the safety and security of our facilities. You will monitor and respond to security incidents, manage access control systems, and ensure effective communication across departments. This position requires proactive asset protection, an emergency response approach, and strong organizational and communication skills.
Essential Functions
Call Management:
Answer incoming calls promptly and professionally, protect and verify information about security concerns and incidents, ensuring accurate documentation.
Access Control:
Manage and verify access requests through web‑based systems. Provide access to authorized personnel and terminate access when necessary, ensuring compliance with company policies.
Vendor Dispatching:
Efficiently dispatch vendors and service providers as required, ensuring timely response to maintenance and security needs.
Emergency Support:
Collaborate with emergency services (WME) to provide necessary support during incidents. Maintain clear communication and help coordinate responses as needed.
Asset Protection:
Monitor CCTV and alarm systems to ensure the security of company assets. Identify and report any suspicious activities or security breaches.
Documentation & Reporting:
Maintain accurate records of all activities, incidents, and communications. Prepare reports as required for management review.
Required Knowledge and Skills
Technical Proficiency:
Familiarity with web‑based access control systems, CCTV, and alarm monitoring systems.
Communication Skills:
Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with diverse individuals.
Attention to Detail:
Exceptional attention to detail to ensure the accuracy of information and adherence to security protocols.
Problem‑solving Skills:
Ability to assess situations quickly and make informed decisions under pressure.
Knowledge of Security Protocols:
Understanding basic security principles, emergency response procedures, and asset protection strategies.
Team Collaboration:
Ability to work collaboratively with internal teams and external vendors to achieve security objectives.
Qualifications
A high school diploma or equivalent and an associate or bachelor’s degree in a related field are preferred.
Previous experience in a security operations center, law enforcement, or similar role is highly desirable.
Certification in security or emergency response (e.g., CPR, First Aid) is a plus.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software applications.
One or more years of SOC‑like work experience.
Experience in call centers, agile project management, and leadership.
Strong communication, conflict management, reporting, critical thinking, problem‑solving, and planning & organization skills.
Ability to be a successful self‑starter.
Excellent negotiation and managerial skills.
Experience with conflict resolution, de‑escalation, and complex problem‑solving.
Working Conditions
The SOC Operator may be required to work in shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Shift assignments are based on the company’s needs and seniority: 6:00 AM‑2:30 PM, 2:00 PM‑10:30 PM, 10:00 PM‑8:30 AM.
The role may involve extended periods of monitoring various security systems and requiring quick response to emergencies.
Benefits Salary will be commensurate with experience. A comprehensive benefits package, including paid time off, is offered with this position. This role averages 40 hours per week and is available “after hours” for emergency situations.
