Mental Health Specialist - (QMHP)

Job Summary
The Mental Health Specialist or Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP) provides rehabilitative services to children with mental illness and to their families in the community. The QMHP works in partnership with racially and culturally diverse individuals and families to define and facilitate their desired life outcomes. The QMHP participates in diagnostic evaluations and provides assessment of strengths, preferences, challenges and symptoms of psychiatric and/or co-occurring disorder(s). The QMHP provides individual, family and/or group skills training using evidence-based interventions or therapeutic modalities. The QMHP may also provide crisis assessments and interventions as needed. The QMHP works on a team with other behavioral health professionals to coordinate client care. The QMHP can obtain clinical supervision towards their licensure hours. The QMHP receives training, supervision and support to grow in their skills of assessment and interventions. Regular, predictable attendance is considered to be an essential requirement for this position. Other duties may be assigned. May require a flexible work schedule. Education Graduated from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's degree with a major specialization in Human/Behavioral/Social Services or related field required. Masters Degree preferred.
License Current and valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
Experience Working with children and families. Bilingual preferred.
Hours Full-Time. Workdays: Monday - Friday. Workhours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM. Salary: $24.18 - $25.39 an hour based on education.
