Sr. Data Scientist with Generative AI (AWS) - Seattle, WA - Hybrid
We are seeking a senior Data Scientist experienced in Generative AI to work in a hybrid environment in Seattle, WA. The position is for a 12‑plus‑month engagement, with on‑site work Monday through Friday.
Key Responsibilities
Design, build, and deploy Generative AI solutions using Amazon Bedrock, SageMaker, and other AWS AI/ML services.
Evaluate, integrate, and fine‑tune foundation models (Claude, Titan, Mistral, LLaMA, etc.) for enterprise use cases such as chatbots, summarization, and retrieval‑augmented generation (RAG).
Perform prompt engineering and LLM fine‑tuning for domain‑specific applications.
Develop and manage GenAI pipelines, including data preprocessing, prompt tuning, retrieval augmentation, and model evaluation.
Optimize cost, latency, and performance of AI workloads within AWS.
Collaborate closely with data engineers, product managers, and business stakeholders to design and implement AI‑driven products and solutions.
Stay abreast of emerging technologies in LLMs, GenAI frameworks, and AWS AI services.
Required Qualifications
15+ years of professional experience in Data Science, Machine Learning, or Artificial Intelligence.
Hands‑on experience with AWS AI/ML tools, including SageMaker, Bedrock, Lambda, Step Functions, and ECS/EKS.
Deep understanding of Generative AI models and LLM ecosystems (OpenAI, Anthropic, Meta, Mistral, etc.).
Strong knowledge of Python, PyTorch/TensorFlow, and ML workflow orchestration.
Expertise in RAG pipelines, vector databases (FAISS, Pinecone, etc.), and prompt engineering.
Excellent communication and presentation skills; ability to interface with clients and executives.
Demonstrated leadership and mentoring experience in AI or data teams.
