Description Here's an exciting opportunity to be an integral part of the successful growth of our rural hospital. Surrounded by the Sierra Nevada Mountains with beautiful lakes and trails for hiking, biking, fishing, and skiing, this facility is thriving and seeks a highly motivated and experienced Registered Dental Assistant for our new state-of-the-art dental clinic. We are currently hiring a Dental Assistant. This is a full-time position with benefits. Our clinic is open Monday through Friday. No weekends. The Dental Assistant performs chair-side duties under the dentist's supervision, including preparing patients for treatment, assisting the dentist during procedures such as restorative dentistry or oral surgery, preparing materials and equipment, sterilizing and maintaining dental instruments according to regulations, and performing intra-oral x-rays. Position requirements include but are not limited to: High school diploma or GED; 1-2 years of medical or clinical experience preferred. Radiology training and license required. Completion of an 8-hour Infection Control course as per California Dental Board requirements. Proficiency in English with clear communication skills. Understanding of HIPAA and confidentiality regulations. Ability to interpret patient needs and provide compassionate care to ensure patient comfort. Practice in accordance with the Dental Practices Act for California. Valid CA driver’s license, good driving record, and proof of insurance. Proficiency with computers, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and email. Position responsibilities include but are not limited to: Greeting patients and escorting them to exam chairs. Assisting the dentist during treatments. Promoting good oral health through patient education. Maintaining a sterile environment following infection control procedures. Reviewing health histories, completing forms, and ensuring documentation accuracy. Performing delegated expanded duties as assigned. Providing support and compassion to patients during visits.
