We provide preventative and restorative care to underserved school-aged children onsite at schools or in mobile facilities. Our program operates with a school-day schedule, no nights or weekends, and focuses on making a difference in the dental field. Responsibilities Provide dental assisting support in a school-based/mobile dental program, including setting up and breaking down equipment. Travel to schools in nearby counties to deliver on-site dental care to children. Support the delivery of dental services under the supervision of licensed dentists, hygienists, and assistants. Maintain patient charts, perform digital X-ray imaging as required, and ensure safety and infection control standards. Collaborate with a small team to deliver care in a mobile or in-school setting. Qualifications Must meet state requirements to operate X-ray equipment CPR certification Minimum 1 year of experience as a Dental Assistant Experience with digital X-ray imaging Experience with patient charting Valid driver\'s license and reliable transportation; willingness to travel to schools in nearby counties Ability to work well with children; team player in a small team Ability to set up and break down equipment; able to lift up to 50 lbs Benefits and Schedule Evenings, weekends and summers off; school-day schedule (about 6–7 hours) typically from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM Benefit package (health, dental, vision) Competitive compensation; full and part-time positions State-of-the-art portable dental equipment and latest technology & digital radiography About Smile Programs Smile Programs is the nation\'s leading in-school dental program operating in multiple states with partnerships across thousands of school districts.
