Director of Therapy Operations
Encompass Health—a rapidly growing national inpatient rehabilitation leader—seeks a Director of Therapy Operations. The role shapes patient care and supports the local community, overseeing the organization, development, and supervision of therapy operations while ensuring high‑quality care and adherence to standards.
Responsibilities
Develop, revise, implement, and communicate policies, processes, and procedures, holding staff accountable.
Collaborate with marketing to educate staff and community on awareness, prevention and treatment; support clinical affiliations and relationships with educational institutions.
Use historical data and emerging trends to forecast operational revenues and expenses and recommend salary adjustments.
Maintain knowledge of state, federal and professional regulatory requirements for program reimbursement, business standards, legal issues and documentation requirements; educate staff and advise the CEO.
Provide patient care when appropriate.
Celebrate staff and patient achievements.
Qualifications
Current state license in Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy or Speech‑Language Pathology.
BLS CPR required or must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited therapy program.
Master’s or Doctorate in a professional or management area preferred.
Minimum five years of rehabilitation experience, including two years in a management role.
