Overview The Strategy Team is growing to better support our local brands and leadership team, tackle the organization's highest-priority commercial strategic initiatives, and identify continued near and long-term growth opportunities. Projects range from strategy development for emerging growth opportunities to long-term strategic planning.
This position will report to the US Strategy Lead with significant exposure to our various leaders across our Brands (Stop & Shop, Giant Martin, Giant Food, Food Lion, and Hannaford) and Functional Leadership teams.

Responsibilities
Provide general oversight to the Strategy Analysts team members by helping to prioritize and sequence the team's work and by reviewing work for quality control. Also, provide general coaching and support for the Manager II and I team members as a senior member of the team.
Working directly with US Leadership to lead and shape major strategic initiatives, including: new customer-centric and innovative growth strategies, business process improvements, and competitive evaluation.
Driving the annual strategic planning and integrated business planning process across the US and key functions.
Develop US market customer and sector dynamics and trends.
Identify key opportunities and risks for the business.
Partner with finance to conduct financial assessments of various strategies.
Influence the Brand leadership team concerning commercial strategic opportunities.
Develop and maintain a view of the US' priorities and roadmap for development and implementation.
Working autonomously and effectively across the total US organization with limited oversight from the US Strategy Lead (often working on multiple complex initiatives at the same time).
Inspire and motivate team and business partners to deliver innovative and high impact initiatives aligned to the strategy.
Act as an ambassador for our strategy and as the primary contact for strategic queries.
Deliver key messages to stakeholders and elevate issues accordingly.
Assemble meaningful presentations to share the US' strategy and progress for senior stakeholders.
Requirements
5-7+ years of business experience.
Experience in a customer-facing business environment.
Experience managing direct reports.
Big 3 consulting experience is a plus.
Visual storytelling using PowerPoint.
Bachelor's degree; Master of Business Administration (MBA) or demonstrable equivalent strongly preferred.
Specializations in Strategy, Marketing, Operations, Organizations/Change Management beneficial.
Preferred Qualifications
Intimate knowledge of approaches to build strategies and various supporting strategic frameworks.
Financial understanding of retail P&L.
Managing resistance to change.
Influencing leadership at the strategic and executive level.
Conceptual thinker and problem solver.
Process-oriented.
Highly effective communicator - especially when it comes to executive story lining and communications.
Track record of successful delivery of large scale - cross functional/Brand development projects.
Good verbal and written communicator, bridge builder.
ME/NC/PA/SC Salary Range: $120,960 - $181,440
IL/MA/MD/NY Salary Range: $139,120 - $208,680
