Job Summary:
The Project Engineer assists Project Manager(s) with all aspects of project activities as assigned within the established budget and timelines. Supports the development/maintenance of project schedules, budgeting, estimating, submittals, RFIs, material releases/expediting administrative duties and other related field activities as assigned. Assist field supervision for job site requirements. Small scale drafting experience skills a plus.
Job Location & Core Hours:
Los Alamitos Office, M-F 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Job assignments in the greater Los Angeles area will be considered.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Assists Project Managers and Project Team assigned with all aspects of project coordination and activities in accordance with project goals, budget, quality control and company objectives.
Understands project plans, drawing specifications and schedule as well as the resources necessary to complete the project on time and within budget.
Prepares timely, accurate and complete project documentation, including but not limited to, RFI's submittals, schedule updates, time records, supplemental work orders, change order pricing, and general project correspondence.
Quality Control/Assurance
Supports document and procurement activities and efforts, but not limited to, commodity materials, consumables, material releases/expediting and necessary tools and equipment.
Provides field supervision support for job site requirements when needed assigned.
Comply with all applicable laws, regulations, safety standards and contracts and report all variances to the Project Manager.
Qualifications
Electrical Industry Project experience
Engineering Degree with 3+ years Electrical Industry Project Experience preferred
Computer Proficiency on MS Word, MS Excel, Accubid, Document Control Software
Excellent Oral & Verbal Communication Skills
Customer Oriented
High School Diploma or Equivalent
