The University of Washington Department of Family Medicine (DFM) is seeking a full-time Assistant Professor on the clinician scientist track , with the title of assistant professor without tenure (WOT) due to source of funding . This position will be a minimum of 40% clinical and includes 30% protected time for research development for the first two years . All faculty in the DFM participate in research, teaching and scholarly effort. Th is position is based in Seattle Washington with an anticipa ted start date is February 1, 2026 , or soon thereafter. Assistant Professors (Without Tenure) are eligible for multi-year appointments that align with a 12-month service period (July 1-June 30), The base salary range for this position will be: $15,833 - $18,333 per month ($ 190,000 - $220,000 annually commensurate with experience and qualifications, or as mandated by a U.S. Department of Labor prevailing wage determination. This range is inclusive of base salary provided through the UW Physicians (UWP) practice plan, in addition to base salary provided by the University. Please note that only compensation provided by the University is included in University benefit determinations and calculations. Compensation provided by the UW Physicians (UWP) practice plan may provide eligibility for separate benefits offered by that organization. Other compensation associated with this position may include incentive through the UW Physicians practice plan. Reporting All Department of Family Medicine faculty report to the Department Chair. This position willalso haveaccountability to the VC of Clinical Programsand the VC of Research. Position Responsibilities Success in research and scholarship is required of faculty appointed in this pathway in the Department of Family Medicine, documented from appropriate sources and evaluated at the appropriate faculty level at the time of initial appointment, and excellence is required for promotion. The faculty memberwillalso provide clinical services within the department’sfamily medicineclinical settings [ Harborview Medical Center, and / or the Univ ersity of Washington Northgate Primary care clinic . Qualifications

Qualifications MD, DO or other doctoral terminal degree (or foreign equivalent) Board certified by theAmerican Board of Family Medicine Must hold or be eligible for Washington State medical license Track record of conducting research in health equityand family medicine practice In order to be eligible for University sponsorship foran H-1B visa, graduates of foreign (non-U.S.) medical schools must show successful completion ofall three steps of the U.S. Medical Licensing Exam (USMLE), or equivalentas determined by the Secretary of Healthand Human Services.
