Base pay range $65,000.00/yr - $80,000.00/yr
Emerge is currently recruiting a motivated and detail-oriented EHS Engineer job in Cleveland, OH to support our client, a growing manufacturer of quality products used in the aerospace and industrial sectors. We are seeking junior-level candidates with less than 3 years of experience who are eager to learn and contribute to a thriving safety and health program and grow their career learning from the team’s seasoned EHS professionals. In this role, you'll be actively involved in data management, reporting, training delivery, conducting audits, and communicating effectively with various teams and leadership. This position requires occasional training on off-shifts and availability to come in for incidents. This is a fantastic opportunity to grow your career with a company that values its employees!
The salary range is up to $80,000 plus annual 5% bonus and excellent benefits that start on day one! Relocation assistance available.
Responsibilities
Manage and support Health and Safety programs, ensuring compliance with regulations and company standards. Act as a key contact for internal customers on all matters related to EHS.
Participate in incident investigations, recommend corrective actions, and track metrics to ensure continuous improvement. Develop and maintain systems to ensure incidents/quarterly metrics are kept per guidelines. Assist with on site emergencies and preparations.
Conduct audits to assess compliance and identify areas for improvement. Provide training on EHS topics to employees during orientation and ongoing training.
Support the location on continuous improvement projects to reduce EHS risks.
Assist with the preparation and submission of reports to comply with company, local, state, and federal regulatory requirements.
Utilize Safety software and other software such as Microsoft Powerpoint for data and data reporting.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution on Health and Safety, Occupational Health and Safety or EHS.
One or more years of experience in EHS is preferred or a minimum of six (6) months of health or safety experience in a manufacturing or similar environment.
Knowledge of applicable Federal and State related regulations and Health and Safety Programs (e.g., Powered Industrial Trucks, LOTO, Fall Protection).
Must be very detail oriented and have strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
