Description Seeking a Part-Time Dental Assistant to work at our contracted county jails in the state of New Mexico. Professional will be providing on-site dental care in collaboration with a Dentist in a controlled/safe environment. Job Type Part-time Description Seeking a Part-Time Dental Assistant to work at our contracted county jails in the state of New Mexico. Professional will be providing on-site dental care in collaboration with a Dentist in a controlled/safe environment. This opportunity provides a great source of supplemental income and a valuable experience in a public health setting, while making a difference in health outcomes for incarcerated individuals. Responsibilities Set-up and breakdown of room. Sterilization of all equipment. Take/process x-rays. Assist in 4-handed dentistry. Work with portable/mobile equipment. Requirements Graduate of Dental Assistant Program or on the job training One (1) year or more dental assisting experience - preferred Active x-Ray Certification CPR/BLS Valid Driver License Reliable Transportation Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Strong organizational skills Some travel required With over three decades of experience, we are a trusted industry leader.
