Sonrisas and Smiles Dental Care is looking for an experienced Dental Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have 1+ years of experience. Must be available to work the following schedule: Monday-Friday from 6:30a-5:30p (hours can vary) Why Heartland Dental? More about the role Greet and welcome patients from the start of their dental journey, ensure patient comfort, and provide appropriate education throughout treatment Conduct a thorough review of the patient’s health history to provide quality care Take and process x-rays and other diagnostic assessments (iTero 3D scanner, digital photography, etc.) Provide superior chairside assistance (i.e., four-handed dentistry) to supported dentists during a wide variety of procedures in accordance with the state dental practice act Utilize Dentrix for patient scheduling and record keeping Prepare treatment rooms following safety protocols and OSHA & CDC recommendations Manage supply and inventory levels, and place and expedite orders as needed Partner with providers and the team to implement Heartland Dental systems and maximize office workflow What You’ll Gain Competitive benefits including health insurance, retirement plans, six paid holidays, and PTO Front-loaded education and training, providing you the opportunity to develop to your full potential Opportunity to be part of a stable company with 20+ years of industry-leading experience and unlimited growth potential About Sonrisas and Smiles Dental Care Sonrisas and Smiles Dental Care, like each Heartland Dental supported office, is unique to the community and the patients they serve. Join an 8-person team that thrives on collaboration, communication, and community Our practice is located at 71B Backlick Road in Springfield, VA Minimum Qualifications 1+ years of experience in a dental setting VA Radiology Certification Knowledge of dental procedures and terminology Experience working in a fast-paced, customer-centric environment Excellent communication and organizational skills Must protect PHI and maintain data safeguards; regular HIPAA training required Preferred Experience 2+ years of experience in a dental setting Dentrix, Dexis, and iTero experience Dental assisting school certification Physical Requirements Ability to perform essential duties with or without reasonable accommodations Prolonged sitting and standing Ability to lift and carry up to 45 pounds Availability for periodic virtual or in-person training sessions A TB test is required prior to employment, except in FL & TN Who is Heartland Dental?
