#WeAreParamount on a mission to unleash the power of content… you in?

We’ve got the brands, we’ve got the stars, we’ve got the power to achieve our mission to entertain the planet – now all we’re missing is… YOU! Becoming a part of Paramount means joining a team of passionate people who not only recognize the power of content but also enjoy a touch of fun and uniqueness. Together, we co‑create moments that matter – both for our audiences and our employees – and aim to leave a positive mark on culture.

Overview We are seeking a Director/Senior Director, Content Strategy & Insights to lead content strategy for Paramount+ Originals. This is a key role that will help define and carry out our content and programming strategy for English‑language originals. The Director/Senior Director, Content Strategy & Insights will work hand‑in‑hand with the Originals team while collaborating closely with a wide range of teams including Business Affairs, Finance, Content Operations, Consumer Insights, Business Intelligence, Publicity, Marketing, and Legal. This individual will also collaborate with Paramount Studios and CBS Studios, as well as the broader Paramount+ content team, in partnership on local originals, pan‑regional acquisitions, and overall programming strategies.

This role is designed as a senior individual contributor / emerging leader position. The ideal candidate will have the authority to drive initiatives and operational decision‑making within defined parameters, while influencing business outcomes through insights and partnership – rather than serving as a fully autonomous P&L owner. The business envisions this role as a strategic thought partner with the potential to grow into broader leadership exposure over time.

Responsibilities

Develop the originals content strategy for Paramount+ in collaboration with the global Originals team.

Evaluate new projects and scripts, working closely with Originals, Finance, and Business Affairs to develop greenlight analyses using a mixture of internal projections and external data.

Analyze show performance and conduct renewal analyses along with Consumer Insights and Business Intelligence.

Plan out the originals slate, focusing on both near‑term needs and long‑term vision.

Understand the video streaming industry and competitive landscape, specifically focusing on new original programming being developed and launched across all genres (scripted, unscripted, kids).

Collaborate with internal studios (Paramount Studios and CBS Studios) on show greenlights and renewal analyses.

Partner with cross‑functional leaders to shape data‑driven strategies for content performance, audience engagement, and portfolio optimization.

Contribute to planning discussions and operational decision‑making, ensuring insights inform both creative and business outcomes.

Assist Originals and Publicity in managing talent relationships and the proper way to deploy statistics to tell stories in the press about Paramount content.

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or related field experience.

5+ years of experience in content strategy, programming, or insights within the streaming, entertainment, media industry, or similar field.

Proven analytical and operational background, with experience driving insights for major SVOD or studio content teams (e.g., Netflix, Hulu, Amazon, or comparable).

Demonstrated ability to lead initiatives and influence decisions across multiple collaborators.

Strong understanding of content evaluation, greenlight processes, and renewal analysis.

Additional Qualifications

Ability to navigate complex, matrixed organizations and collaborate effectively with senior leaders and cross‑functional teams.

Strategic mentality with an ability to balance creative judgment and data‑driven rigor.

Phenomenal communication, storytelling, and collaborator management skills.
