Position Summary Seeking a Software Developer II to support our Smart Grid 2.0 initiative, focused on modernizing utility infrastructure with cloud‑native, connected technologies. The developer will design and implement RESTful APIs, integrate diverse systems, and build scalable microservices to enable data flow across our smart grid ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices using Java and Go (Golang).
Implement secure API gateways, OAuth/JWT authentication, and data integration patterns.
Build cloud‑native applications on AWS (EC2, Lambda, API‑Gateway, RDS).
Use Docker and Kubernetes for containerization and deployment.
Design middleware and event‑driven integrations (Kafka, Kinesis, or similar).
Support CI/CD automation with Git, Jenkins, and SonarQube.
Rapidly prototype POCs and contribute to agile sprints.
Collaborate with DevOps, QA, and business teams to deliver secure, high‑quality solutions.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field.
3–5 years of software development experience.
Strong knowledge of enterprise Java development, cloud architecture, and distributed systems.
