Overview
Energy Solutions is seeking a full-time Senior Project Manager specializing in building electrification to join our Energy Efficiency Department. This role will focus on supporting innovative strategies, policy, and strategy for the Technology and Equipment for Clean Heating (TECH) initiative, a multi-year, statewide market transformation program focused on residential decarbonization in California. Candidates should have expertise in policy, codes and standards, implementation and market transformation related to decarbonization efforts in California or other states, and familiarity with key policies and decision makers influencing the decarbonization landscape. Energy Solutions operates as a predominantly remote workforce with offices. Employees who reside within 40 miles of an office (except New York) will be assigned to that location, though in-office attendance requirements may vary by team. Responsibilities
Helping craft overall program vision, direction, execution, and completion of program deliverables Facilitating the progress of a new program launch and managing project portfolios focused on market transformation Communicating program and market progress to management, clients, and external stakeholders Interacting with customers, clients, and external collaborators Guiding a team of contributors conducting market research and data analysis Managing project budgets and tasks with minimal oversight Tracking industry trends and other market changes that impact energy efficiency and decarbonization Organizing and facilitating in-person meetings, conference calls, and facilitated collaboration sessions Conducting program stakeholder meetings, capturing escalations, and proactively resolving potential issues Minimum Qualifications
A bachelor’s degree in an energy, engineering, or environmental related discipline Minimum of 8 years of work experience (graduate school years applicable) A minimum of 5 years project management experience Demonstrated ability to conduct large, collaborative, facilitated sessions Strong technical writing, data analysis, verbal communication and presentation skills Ability to manage tactical and strategic tasks Strong client communication and client relationship management skills Extensive experience using Microsoft Office (Office365, SharePoint, OneNote) Ability to work, drive, and thrive juggling many activities and communications Willingness to conduct occasional business travel Preferred Qualifications
Prior experience working with the California Public Utilities Commission and/or California utilities Familiarity with SB 1477 (Low-emissions buildings and sources of heat energy) and related California policy Experience with residential energy efficiency programs or decarbonization programs Large program management expertise, including management of programs that involve multiple subcontractors and external stakeholders Experience with utility Workforce Education and Training Programs and contractor training Experience with preparing and/or submitting comments for regulatory proceedings Experience coordinating between different parts of organizations including energy efficiency programs, low-income programs, demand response programs, and market transformation programs A track record of decarbonization thought leadership and execution Compensation
Compensation is commensurate with experience with a pay band of $92,000 to $125,000 annually. The role includes a generous retirement package and an excellent benefits package including medical, dental and vision insurance, pre-tax contribution plans, and an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP).
