We are seeking a highly experienced and professional
Captain
to join our cruise fleet. As the Master of the vessel, you will be responsible for the overall safe operation, leadership, and performance of the ship, crew, and guests on board.
Key Responsibilities:
The occupational health, safety and welfare of the crew, and the safety of passengers;
Ensuring that all Officers and Crew are familiar with the Company’s Management System;
Motivating the Crew in executing their duties according to the Company’s Management System;
Ensuring that a robust Safety & Health culture and Environmental and Energy Efficiency awareness is encouraged and maintained;
Ensuring that activities are well planned, organized and safeguards established against all identified risks;
Issuing appropriate orders and instructions in a clear and simple manner and verify that specified requirements are observed;
Ensuring that corrective and preventive actions are implemented timely and effectively;
Reporting occurrences that could either directly or indirectly lead to an adverse effect on Quality, Safety, Health, Environment & Energy, Security operational capability or reliability;
Reviewing the Company’s Management System on a regular basis and reporting the Company their proposals for improvement.
Qualifications & Experience:
Master Mariner Unlimited Certificate (STCW II/2)
Substantial experience as Captain or Staff Captain on large cruise ships, with Azipod propulsion systems
Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and crisis management skills
Fluent in English; additional languages are an asset
Excellent knowledge of ISM Code, SOLAS, MARPOL, and other maritime regulations
