Position Overview We are seeking an Advanced Practice Practitioner—a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner—to support four pediatric neurosurgeons and three current physician assistants.
The APP will collaborate across inpatient, outpatient, and surgical settings, and will play a key role in the hospital’s first‑call rotation.
Responsibilities
Assist with inpatient care and inpatient consultations.
Provide first‑assistance in the operating room on a wide range of pediatric neurosurgical cases.
Manage patient encounters in the outpatient clinic.
Engage in research projects and support interdisciplinary studies.
Participate in hospital first‑call rotation, providing backup for the on‑call neurosurgeon.
Qualifications
Team‑oriented, self‑motivated, patient‑centric, with a passion for continuous learning.
Eligibility for an unrestricted California Physician Assistant license is required.
Experience in pediatric neurosurgery, general neurosurgery, or pediatrics is preferred; training can be provided.
Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred but not required.
