We are seeking a Senior Tax Accountant to take ownership of critical tax functions across domestic and international jurisdictions. This role is built for a technical, solutions-oriented tax professional who excels in high-growth, highly complex environments. You will serve as a strategic advisor to the business, partner cross-functionally with finance, legal, and trading teams, and lead tax planning, compliance, and strategy for the firm. This is not your traditional tax role—this is a seat at the table to influence global strategy within a fast-moving, intellectually rigorous, and innovation-first business. Responsibilities
Lead U.S. federal, state, and international tax planning, compliance, and strategy across trading, investment, and operating entities Manage complex tax issues related to financial instruments, partnerships, funds, trading entities, derivatives, hedging, and international structures Oversee tax provisions under ASC 740, deferred tax calculations, uncertain tax positions, and related disclosures Partner with internal teams on deal structuring, business initiatives, new market expansion, and entity setup Collaborate with external tax advisors, auditors, and legal partners Stay ahead of evolving tax legislation, modeling potential impacts to the business, and advising on strategic adjustments Drive process improvements, automation, and systems innovation within the tax function Mentor junior tax team members and foster best practices across the organization Qualifications
3+ years of progressive tax experience in public accounting, financial services, trading, hedge funds, private equity, or a combination Deep technical expertise in partnership taxation, international tax (Subpart F, GILTI, PFIC, FDII), financial products, or fund structures Strong experience with ASC 740 tax provisions Demonstrated ability to operate in a fast-paced, complex, data-driven environment A problem-solver who independently drives outcomes in ambiguous and evolving situations Exceptional communication skills with the ability to translate complex tax concepts into business decisions CPA required; MST, JD, or equivalent advanced tax credential is a strong plus Nice to Have
Experience in high-frequency or systematic trading firms, hedge funds, or proprietary trading environments Familiarity with tax issues specific to market makers, electronic trading, crypto/digital assets, or global mobility of trading personnel Comfort working with highly technical engineering and quantitative teams A mindset built for innovation, ownership, and precision Why Join Us
