Senior Manufacturing Engineer (CNC Machining) , you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping the next generation of manufacturing — combining the precision of CNC machining with the innovation of additive manufacturing to produce high-value metal parts for aerospace, defense, and advanced industries. About the Role

You’ll develop, implement, and optimize CNC programs for complex 3D-printed and traditionally machined parts. Working with

state-of-the-art DMG Mori and Haas multi-axis machines , you’ll collaborate closely with engineers and machinists to build machining standards and best practices that support

Freeform’s high-volume, vertically integrated production environment . This position is ideal for an engineer who thrives on hands-on problem solving, process optimization, and pushing the limits of modern CNC technology. What You’ll Do

Develop, implement, and optimize CNC programs for precision metal components and 3D-printed parts Program and refine machining operations on

DMG Mori and Haas 5-axis machines Translate CAD models and GD&T drawings into efficient machining strategies Select and optimize cutting tools, feeds, and speeds for maximum precision and throughput Troubleshoot machining challenges and collaborate with machinists to improve results Maintain CNC program libraries, documentation, and standardized workflows Implement

process improvements

to reduce cycle times and boost machine utilization Provide

hands‑on technical support and training

on the production floor Ensure compliance with quality control standards, inspection processes, and safety guidelines What You Bring

Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline 5+ years of 5-axis CNC programming and machining experience Expertise with

Mastercam

and

DMG Mori 5‑axis machines Proven experience machining

aluminum, stainless steel, titanium, or Inconel Strong problem‑solving mindset and collaborative approach Nice to Have: NTMA machinist certification or equivalent training Familiarity with

Siemens controls

and metal 3D printed part post‑processing Experience machining

castings or forgings Knowledge of CMMs, micrometers, and thread gauges Ability to operate shop tools, cranes, and forklifts Willingness to work overtime when required Why You’ll Love Working Here
