This position will be directed and supervised by a Department Head or General Manager. The primary responsibilities include routine operational tasks and supervising others in their operational assignments. Additional duties may be assigned as required by the business or for career development. The role involves ensuring guest satisfaction and the efficient operation of the hotel by supervising back-of-house departments in the absence of the General Manager or Manager on Duty. The individual may assist the General Manager in achieving hotel profitability through revenue generation, cost control, guest satisfaction, and staff development. Exempt associates are expected to work as much of each workday as necessary to fulfill their responsibilities. Management-level associates are also expected to work as much as needed; OEM associates may have overtime, which is calculated accordingly. The Operations Manager OEM may support various areas including: Housekeeping, Engineering/Maintenance, F&B, PBX, Bell staff, Front Office, and Banquets. Qualifications

At least 3 years of progressive experience in a Rooms or F&B department at a hotel; or a 4-year college degree with 1-2 years' experience in a hotel Rooms or F&B department; or a 2-year college degree with at least 2 years' experience in a hotel Rooms or F&B department. Previous supervisory experience required. Proficiency in Windows Operating Systems. Ability to evaluate and select among alternative actions quickly and accurately. Ability to work well under stress and high-pressure situations. Maintain composure and objectivity under pressure. Effective problem-solving skills in the workplace, including anticipating, preventing, identifying, and resolving issues. Ability to assimilate complex information from various sources and adapt as needed. Strong listening, understanding, clarification, and resolution skills with co-workers and guests. Ability to work with and understand financial data and perform basic arithmetic. Effective communication skills. Responsibilities

Approach all guest and employee interactions with attentiveness, friendliness, courtesy, and a service-oriented attitude. Maintain regular attendance in accordance with Aimbridge Hospitality standards, based on hotel needs. Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, including adherence to dress code and wearing a name tag when working. Ensure compliance with Aimbridge Hospitality standards and regulations for safe and efficient hotel operations. Meet certification requirements such as Food Handlers, Alcohol Awareness, CPR & First Aid. In the absence of the General Manager, supervise and support departments like Engineering and Housekeeping to ensure smooth hotel operations. Use Aimbridge and brand training to develop operational knowledge. Create an environment where employees are empowered to make decisions to enhance guest satisfaction, and follow up on empowerment initiatives. Assist the General Manager in creating financial reports as required by corporate, meeting all deadlines. Participate in scheduled MOD coverage. Ensure service standards training occurs in each department. Assist with recruiting, hiring, and training staff for Guest Services as needed. Participate in weekly meetings with the Front Desk to manage oversell situations. Foster a positive, team-oriented environment focused on guest service through employee development and motivation. Assist in maintaining compliance with Preventative Maintenance and Deep Cleaning programs through inspections with relevant department heads. Ensure employees are attentive, friendly, courteous, and efficient in their interactions. Familiarize with SOPs across all operational departments. Maintain professional relationships and open communication with all staff and departments. Ensure fair and equitable treatment of all employees per company policies. Complete required corporate training and obtain necessary certifications. Note that promotional opportunities may require relocation. Be present in public areas during peak times to greet guests and offer assistance. Maintain procedures for hotel safe security. Attend all scheduled meetings on property when scheduled.
