Job Description We seek an experienced Electrical Engineering leader to manage and grow our Electrical Engineering team. The role includes technical oversight, project leadership, and talent development.
Responsibilities
Support the Director of Engineering in fostering a culture of technical excellence and accountability.
Supervise and lead a team of electrical engineers, promoting their technical and career growth.
Mentor engineers across the US Energy Practice and remote teams.
Drive project efficiencies by creating and implementing standards, templates, and tools.
Provide input on project resourcing and staff forecasting.
Develop task lists, hours estimates, and schedules for business development.
Participate in recruiting efforts.
Oversee projects through full life cycle: feasibility, design, bid, construction, start‑up, commissioning.
Serve as Engineer of Record and technical electrical lead on projects.
Perform engineering calculations, generate specifications, and conduct quality control reviews.
Monitor team progress to ensure on‑time, on‑budget, high quality deliverables.
Maintain technical and safety standards.
Present engineering work to clients, traveling as required.
Level Specific Responsibilities
Provide technical expertise for mid‑large size projects.
Lead client relationships and play a major role in selling.
Grow department expertise and lead discipline business development.
Provide specialized input to studies and design.
Approve and sign off on work; lead one or more technology areas.
Estimate budgets and schedules for large, complex projects.
Qualifications Minimum Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering +10 years of relevant experience in industrial and/or power facilities.
Professional Engineer (P.E.) license.
Preferred Qualifications
5+ years of team supervision experience.
7+ years as discipline technical lead on industrial or power generation projects.
Industrial facilities design experience.
Experience in multi‑discipline programs.
Passion for developing technical teams.
Experience throughout EPC, Design/Build projects.
Field construction and commissioning experience.
Remote and multi‑discipline team experience.
Expert familiarity with NFPA, NEC, NESC, IEEE, and building codes.
Power system analysis software (ETAP, SKM, EasyPower).
Solar or BESS facility experience.
Experience with Navisworks, laser scan data.
Active participation in industry or code committees.
