The Warehouse Material Handler is responsible for the safe and efficient movement, storage, and tracking of materials within the warehouse and production areas. This position plays a key role in ensuring timely material flow to support manufacturing and shipping operations. The ideal candidate is forklift certified, detail-oriented, and capable of lifting or moving heavier items as part of daily operations.
Key Responsibilities
Load, unload, and move materials within or between departments using forklifts, pallet jacks, carts, and other handling equipment.
Receive incoming materials, verify quantities against purchase orders, and inspect for damage or discrepancies.
Stage materials for production work orders and maintain accurate material transactions in the ERP system.
Pick, pack, and prepare finished goods for shipment per customer and carrier requirements.
Maintain organized and clean warehouse areas, including racking, staging, and shipping/receiving zones.
Assist with physical inventory counts and cycle counts as required.
Follow proper lifting techniques and adhere to all safety and PPE requirements.
Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and production leads to ensure uninterrupted material flow.
Identify and report any equipment malfunctions, material shortages, or safety hazards promptly.
Support other warehouse and logistics activities as assigned.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent (GED required).
Minimum 1–2 years of warehouse, logistics, or material handling experience.
Valid forklift certification (stand-up and/or sit-down forklift experience preferred).
Ability to lift and move materials up to 50 lbs regularly and occasionally up to 75 lbs.
Basic computer literacy and experience with ERP or inventory systems (SAP, NetSuite, or equivalent).
Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and teamwork.
Willingness to work flexible shifts, overtime, or weekends as needed.
Warehouse and production floor environment with moderate noise and temperature variations.
Frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting throughout the shift.
Use of safety gear, including steel-toe shoes, gloves, and safety glasses, required.
Compensation $22‑26 hourly, based on experience
