POSITION OVERVIEW: The position will supervise production personnel in a safe and efficient way to perform their job duties. Report any problem and corrective action immediately to Supervisor, Plant Manager, Regulatory Affairs and Quality Control. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Review the production schedule for each assigned production line and ensure the following: Components are pulled and readily available. Product has been mixed and released for production. Line is properly staffed. Plant Manager is notified of any schedule changes. Ensure all Quality Control procedures are followed according to the Quality Control Manual. Report on Q.C. occurrences to Q.C. lab person or Manager of Production, Regulatory Affairs and Quality Control. Review all production line setups to ensure proper settings for each batch/production run. Assist, when necessary, with production steps to maximize productivity. Assist, when necessary, with preparation of mixing to be sure batches are available for filling. Monitor and adjust production equipment to ensure maximum productivity. Screen prospective production employees under guidance of Supervisor. Review production employees as directed by Supervisor. Responsible for third shift production. Ensure production personnel are using correct Personal Protective Equipment (P.P.E.) as described on Packaging Ticket. Maintain a clean workplace. Ensure the employee responsible for processing work orders does so as soon as the run is completed. Assist with testing of new equipment and products as required by Plant Manager or Manager of Production, Regulatory Affairs and Quality Control. Any problems with production, personnel, or quality control will be reported in the following manner: Quality Control: Q.C. Laboratory Any other duties as assigned REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: High school or equivalent preferred. Proven experience in a supervisory or leadership role within a production or manufacturing setting is preferred. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENT: Must have the ability to stand, walk, and lift for extended periods, sometimes with heavy loads. Must be able to work in non-climate-controlled environments.
