Position Manufacturing Engineer | Full-Time (1st Shift) Overview This role is designed for an experienced Aerospace Manufacturing Engineer with 5-7 years of experience. The ideal candidate should possess technical experience in the design and development of complex aerospace engine components and familiarity with customers such as PW, GE, and Sikorsky. The candidate will be capable of proposing new technology and program directions to support business unit objectives and will have extensive experience with Engineering Source Approval. Responsibilities Optimize and document all aspects of manufacturing processes by identifying improvement opportunities and applying simpler, faster, cost-effective and reliable methods. Evaluate new and existing processes to ensure quality and safety of the job. Create and maintain detailed manufacturing and process instructions for complex parts and processes. Create and maintain work instructions for new parts and assemblies as well as modifications to existing products. Apply expertise in blueprint interpretation and manufacturing documentation. Identify new equipment, tool designs, and processes to improve consistency, accuracy, and cycle times. Design tooling, fixtures, and jigs to improve manufacturing efficiency. Apply good manufacturing knowledge of raw material control, manufacturing process, laboratory testing, heat treating, and other processes. Deliver tool kits directly to machining centers. Champion process controls to measure capability, reduce variability, and improve product quality. Drive and support Lean Manufacturing techniques in the shop, including process mapping, set‑up time reduction, and waste reduction. Effectively use all process improvement strategies and techniques, including Lean and Six Sigma. Manage customer owned tooling and tooling manifests. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering or related field. Strong background in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM). Excellent communication skills: verbal, written, and presentation. Familiarity with the latest technologies and equipment used in manufacturing processes. Minimum 5-8 years of experience using NX, Unigraphics, SolidWorks, and Mastercam. Knowledge of raw materials and materials science. Mathematical proficiency: algebra, geometry, calculus. Team leading ability and good problem‑solving skills. Ability to manage one’s time and the team’s time efficiently. Strong detail orientation, work ethic, and positive attitude. Work Environment Alternate between standing and sitting while performing duties. Perform walking, gross manipulation, visual acuity, climbing stairs, ladders, ramps, fine motor manipulation, lifting/carrying, pushing, and pulling. Move or transfer products with an overhead crane. Perform repetitive movements daily. Always wear safety shoes and safety glasses on the shop floor. Use protective equipment such as gowns and safety goggles to reduce risk of injury from equipment or sharp parts. May work on loud and potentially dangerous machinery/materials. Use computer or touch screen to enter work order data. Lift or move objects of up to 40 lbs. May require local travel. Benefits Comprehensive medical insurance plans including dental and vision.
