$103,000 – $145,000 per year + up to 10% Annual Incentive Bonus Sign-On Bonus:

Overview Wheeler Staffing Partners is seeking a

Nursing Director – Cardiac / Telemetry

for a full-time, onsite leadership opportunity in

San Antonio, TX . This role is ideal for an experienced nursing professional who is passionate about advancing patient care, mentoring nursing teams, and driving operational excellence in a dynamic healthcare environment. The Nursing Director will provide oversight for one or more clinical departments, ensuring high-quality patient outcomes, staff engagement, and continuous performance improvement. This position is responsible for strategic leadership, daily operations, and alignment with organizational goals.

Responsibilities Provide operational and strategic leadership for cardiac and telemetry nursing services. Ensure delivery of safe, effective, and compassionate patient care in accordance with regulatory standards. Develop, mentor, and retain nursing talent through effective coaching and professional development. Oversee departmental budgets, staffing levels, and resource utilization. Lead performance improvement and evidence-based practice initiatives. Collaborate with physicians, clinical leaders, and executive teams to optimize service delivery and patient outcomes. Maintain a culture of accountability, collaboration, and excellence within assigned departments.

Qualifications Education: Required:

Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) Preferred:

Master’s Degree in Nursing, Business, or a related field Experience: Required:

Minimum of 5 years of experience in cardiac, telemetry, or a related specialty nursing area Preferred:

3–5 years of progressive leadership or management experience in nursing Licensure / Certifications: Required:

Current Texas RN License (Compact State Licenses accepted). Candidates relocating from out of state must be in process of obtaining a Texas RN License or willing to obtain one. Required:

Active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA), or must be obtained within 60 days of hire. Preferred:

Specialty certification in Cardiac, Telemetry, Critical Care, or Nurse Executive.
