The Opportunity The Security Technology Services (STS) group is a division of Information Security that ensures secure access to systems and information for more than 400,000 individuals across over 150 countries. We are seeking a highly skilled Cybersecurity Enterprise Data Architect to work on both business and technical data models within Information Security. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in generative AI, secure data architectures, governance, and cloud platforms. Your Key Responsibilities Interpret and deliver impactful strategic plans improving data integration, quality, and delivery to support business initiatives. Define and implement the long‑term technology strategy and innovation roadmaps across analytics, data engineering, and data platforms. Collaborate closely with the Strategy team to incorporate organizational strategy. Manage senior business stakeholders to secure strong engagement and ensure project delivery aligns with strategic roadmaps. Work with key stakeholders, cybersecurity experts, and operational teams to create scalable security solutions. Translate high‑level business requirements into data models, metadata, test data, and data quality standards. Simplify existing data architecture, delivering reusable services and cost‑saving opportunities. Establish and maintain governance frameworks that ensure data integrity, security, and compliance. Collaborate with Enterprise Architects to align solutions with the company’s long‑term goals. Work with IT, business analysts, and data analytics teams to understand data consumers’ needs and develop solutions. Lead the development of secure semantic retrieval‑augmented generation (RAG) architectures. Integrate large language models (LLMs) with effective metadata governance and ontology enrichment. Monitor industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive landscape, providing insights to senior leadership. Provide data architecture thought leadership at an enterprise level. Select and implement database management systems and define data schemas, optimizing storage and security controls. Design the structure and layout of data systems, including databases, warehouses, and data lakes. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, data privacy, and security standards. Architect and implement data lake houses and master data management (MDM) solutions. Produce governed analytics solutions using tools such as Databricks and Microsoft’s Synapse. Modernize cloud migration processes and foster governed self‑service analytics. Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and guidance to technical teams. Skills and Attributes for Success Experience leading data architecture activities and initiating new ideas. Creative, innovative thinking style. Skilled in Microsoft Synapse, Azure Data Lake/Factory, Databricks, Archer, GRC or IRM solutions. Strong ability in programming languages such as Java, Python, and C/C++. Data science tools such as SQL, R, SAS, or Excel. Proficiency in modern data architectures and concepts (AWS, Azure, GCP, Kafka, Snowflake, Databricks). Experience with database technologies (SQL, NoSQL, Oracle, Hadoop, Teradata). Understanding of entity‑relationship modeling, metadata systems, and data quality tools. Experience with business intelligence tools (ETL, Power BI, Tableau). Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills. Knowledge of security technologies, including application security, data architecture, security analytics, and threat intelligence. Rapid learning and adaptation to new technologies. Excellent communication and presentation skills. Experience crafting security architecture documentation. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent work experience. 16+ years of experience in the Information Technology field. 8+ years of senior data architecture experience. 6+ years of experience in data modeling, governance, and taxonomy. Ideally You’ll Also Have One or More Security certifications such as CISSP or CISM. TOGAF or AI architecture framework. SANS Certifications including GSEC, ECSA, ECSP. What We Offer You Competitive base salary ranging from $152,700 to $294,000 (US). Additional compensation depends on location and experience.
