Job Overview RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a highly dedicated Registered Nurse for our Intensive Care Unit at Clara Maass Medical Center in Belleville, NJ. With over 700 physicians and 2,100 employees, we offer advanced treatment for a wide variety of medical conditions. The Medical Center recently completed a state‑of‑the‑art campus expansion, featuring a new four‑story, 87,000 square‑foot building with a private, 32‑bed Intensive Care Unit, new Main Entrance and Lobby, Retail Pharmacy, Patient Registration Area, and an expanded Emergency Department.
Pay Transparency The above reflects the anticipated hourly wage range for this position if hired to work in New Jersey.
The compensation offered to the candidate selected for the position will depend on several factors, including the candidate's educational background, skills and professional experience.
Qualifications Required
ASN or Nursing Diploma
Strong communication and organizational skills
Proficient computer skills
Preferred
Telemetry or Critical Care nursing experience
CCRN
Certifications and Licenses Required
BLS and ACLS Certification
Active New Jersey Registered Nurse License
Scheduling Requirements
Night Shift, 7 p‑7:30 a – 37.5 hours per week
Monday – Friday, every other weekend and rotating holidays
Essential Functions
The Registered Nurse provides nursing care within the scope of practice defined by the Nurse Practice Act and regulatory standards and assures awareness of ethical standards as defined by the ANA code of ethics.
Assures safety in practice and incorporates evidence‑based practice, advancing knowledge through communication with and utilization of resource persons and programs.
Reports identified safety issues such as hazardous environments and medical errors.
Demonstrates knowledge of the patient population served.
Supervises and directs delegation of tasks, collaborating with other patient care providers.
Consistently sets and evaluates priorities through appropriate interventions with measurable outcomes toward improvement.
Serves as an individual practitioner and interdisciplinary team manager, utilizing the nursing process to individualize the plan of care.
