Pay Range:
$124,000 - $250,000 per year.

We’re looking for a Senior Principal Software Engineer to shape the future of secure communications. You will develop critical real‑time communications for pilots and soldiers, leading initiatives across the software development lifecycle, mentoring teammates, and influencing future product direction.
What You Will Do
Architect, design, and develop embedded software and communication products in C/C++ and Rust.
Plan and lead requirements, implementation, test development, and certification activities to drive project success.
Develop innovative tools and automated testing infrastructure to support Continuous Integration and Continuous Development.
Serve as a technical lead, mentoring and guiding software developers to ensure successful execution and professional growth.
Lead large initiatives and organize tasks for team members, ensuring timely delivery.
Impact our business and customers by supporting cost, schedule, and technical performance.

Qualifications You Must Have
University degree in STEM and minimum 10 years relevant experience, or an advanced degree and minimum 7 years experience.
At least 3 years of experience leading across the software development lifecycle.
At least 3 years of experience with software development and integration for Windows, Linux, and containers.
At least 3 years of experience with embedded software development utilizing Python, C/C++, and/or Rust.
Active, transferable U.S. government‑issued security clearance required. U.S. citizenship required.
Qualifications We Prefer
Proficient in Linux development environments.
Strong expertise in Git or other version control systems.
Knowledgeable in networking and communications protocols.
Comfortable working in Agile/Scrum environments.
Experience with communications systems or software‑defined radios.
Experience developing open‑systems architecture and microservices for containerized environments.
Experience applying patterns, data structures, and algorithms to solve problems in software systems.
Ability to investigate complex problems to root cause and champion solutions.
Ability to architect, design, and implement solutions to complex problems with minimal guidance.
