Payroll Administration
Guarantee accurate disbursement of payroll, benefits, and taxes in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. Ensure timely processing of new hires, transfers, promotions, and terminations. Handle union payroll duties where applicable.
Data Management & Reporting
Collect and enter payroll data day‑to‑day. Prepare and review weekly, monthly, quarterly, and year‑end payroll reports. Reconcile payroll accounts and resolve discrepancies promptly.
Compliance & Best Practices
Maintain compliance with wage and hour laws, union agreements, and company policies. Assist with audits and provide proper documentation.
Collaboration
Communicate actively with Operations, HR, and Finance regarding cross‑departmental impacts. Provide guidance and training to managers on payroll processes and systems.
Leadership
Supervise payroll staff and conduct performance evaluations. Foster a culture of accuracy, accountability, and teamwork.
Qualifications
Minimum 25 years of payroll experience, preferably in a high‑volume, unionized environment. Strong knowledge of payroll systems (e.g., ABI/TCS) and Microsoft Office, especially Excel. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information. Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills. Experience with union payroll and collective bargaining agreements preferred. Physical Demands
