We are looking for a motivated Health and Safety (H&S) Lead Auditor to drive safety compliance, continuous improvement, and operational excellence across our Infrastructure Services. AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. In other words, we’re the people who keep the cloud running. We support all AWS data centers and all of the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that ensure our customers have continual access to the innovation they rely on. The ideal candidate will have strong auditing expertise, including excellent written and verbal communication skills, the ability to influence stakeholders, solid knowledge foundation in safety management systems and regional safety standards, and a proven track record of designing and improving safety programs. The candidate must have the ability to define clear requirements in ambiguity, proactively educate team members, leaders, and other support teams, and communicate effectively and consistently throughout all levels of the business. The role will evolve with the maturity and growth of the H&S Audit Program, requires a high degree of flexibility, and the candidate must have the ability to build partnerships with diverse teams across multiple jurisdictions. Partner with business support functions to plan for and execute H&S Audits Manage end-to-end audit projects and borrowed resources Lead and/or participate in audits. Lead a team of internal auditors to execute audits including on-site verification and self-assessments which provides objective, independent assurance on the effectiveness of the Safety Management Program (SMP) Facilitate and liaise with multiple stakeholders, including Operations leaders, to mutually accept audit findings and appropriate corrective action Draft clear and concise audit reports within agreed timeframes. Guide management on appropriate corrective action Follow up on audit recommendations to ensure appropriate corrective action has been taken to resolve identified deficiencies Perform analyses of audit outcomes to identify trending issues. Report on key metrics and make recommendations for process and system improvements Highlight, and provide corrective action solutions for hazards identified outside of a defined audit scope Partner with the SMP team, Data Center Health and Safety (DCHS) and HS Legal to create a continuous loop of feedback that will continuously improve the SMP Share best practices to assist in the continuous improvement of individual and organizational H&S performance Support the design and delivery of internal auditor training Earn trust of operations partners through proactive and continuous engagement to understand the business, identify emerging risks and educate Other H&S program management duties as needed About The Team

Bachelor's degree or equivalent 3+ years of compliance program management, legal, governance, audit, risk/loss prevention, or equivalent experience 3+ years’ experience in internal or external auditing 3+ years’ experience in program or project management Ability to travel nationally and internationally (estimated at 50%) Preferred Qualifications

ISO45001 lead auditor certification or the ability to obtain within 6 months of start Strong analytical, interpersonal, organizational and relationship building skills, and the ability to coach at multiple levels Knowledge of applicable region specific federal, state, and local health and safety regulations. The base pay for this position ranges from $66,800/year in our lowest geographic market up to $142,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
