Job Title:
Head Football Coach (Bay Middle School)
Purpose:
The Football Coach promotes an appreciation of physical fitness, teamwork, and sportsmanship. The Football coach provides leadership and supervision for team and individual sports and works closely with other staff and administration of the Bay St. Louis-Waveland School District.
Reporting to:
Principal/Athletic Director
Qualifications
High School diploma or equivalent.
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college/university.
Current Mississippi Teaching Certificate.
A valid driver's license, able to drive, and qualify under the district's insurance carrier.
Essential Functions
Coordinate and supervise the overall program.
Promote an appreciation of physical fitness, teamwork, and sportsmanship.
Design an in-season and off-season training program to maximize the abilities of all athletes in the program.
Organize and supervise the coaching staff to ensure that the program is properly implemented.
Communicate effectively with all members of the school district and community.
Work effectively with booster clubs and other community groups.
Work closely with the Athletic Director, Principal and their staff when scheduling games and practices.
Effectively and consistently manage the roster using Dragonfly Max, ensuring all necessary paperwork is downloaded and on file for every member of the program.
Promote and develop an interest in the program within the district and community at large.
