Archer Meat Snacks, the #1 jerky brand in the Natural and Specialty Channel, is looking for a Director of Food Safety & Quality Assurance - Internal Manufacturing to join our growing FSQA organization. This senior leadership role is responsible for overseeing and strengthening all food safety and quality programs across Archers owned and operated manufacturing facilities in Vernon and San Bernardino. Reporting directly to the Global Head of Quality, this position will lead multi-site FSQA teams, ensure regulatory and customer compliance, and drive continuous improvement across our operations. This is an exciting opportunity for a proven FSQA leader to make a significant impact in a fast-paced, high-growth CPG environment. What Youll Own & Impact Lead the development, implementation, and maintenance of Food Safety Plans (HACCP) and Quality Management Systems (QMS) across Archers internal manufacturing sites. Ensure compliance with USDA/FDA regulations, company standards, and third-party certifications (e.g., SQF, Organic, Gluten Free). Serve as the technical lead for all regulatory, customer, and third-party audits at both company-operated facilities. Partner with Operations, R&D, and Supply Chain to align quality systems with production and innovation goals. Recruit, train, and mentor FSQA Managers, Quality Managers, and Sanitation teams across both locations. Lead Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and Corrective/Preventive Actions (CAPA) for food safety or quality incidents. Drive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance quality system performance and operational efficiency. Support FSQA budget management, cost control, and resource planning across both facilities.

What Sets You Apart

Bachelors degree or higher in Food Science, Microbiology, or a related technical field. 10+ years of progressive FSQA experience in USDA and/or FDA-regulated food or beverage manufacturing environments. Proven success in a Senior Manager or Director-level FSQA role with multi-site oversight. Current HACCP and GFSI Practitioner certifications (SQF or BRC).

Strong technical knowledge of FSQA systems, auditing standards, and regulatory requirements. Experience with continuous improvement methodologies (Kaizen, 5-Why, DMAIC, SPC). Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including technical SOP writing. Willingness to travel regularly between Vernon and San Bernardino facilities.

Preferred Qualifications

Minimum of 3 years of USDA meat processing experience. Active ASQ Quality Certifications (CMQ/QE, CQA, CQE, etc.). Fluency in Spanish (verbal and/or written).
