OVERVIEW
Merrick's Energy, Manufacturing and Bioprocessing business unit is seeking a highly motivated, team‑oriented Project Engineer / Senior Engineer with strong leadership skills, the ability to manage multi‑discipline teams, and very strong technical and communication skills. The role involves working with a team of talented PMs, engineers, and designers. This position can be located in any of the following offices and will be eligible for a hybrid schedule: Greenwood Village, CO; Tulsa, OK; Chattanooga, TN; Richmond, VA; Newport News, VA; or Baltimore, MD.
Annual salary range: $125,400.00 – $162,300.00. Base pay may vary depending on job‑related knowledge, skills, and experience.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Assist the Project Manager with managing scope, schedule, and budget.
Lead design activities and manage design deliverables.
Ensure client satisfaction and work closely with the client's technical team.
Coordinate engineering disciplines and manage discipline interfaces.
Manage project resources, technical changes and expedite scheduled activities.
Serve as the liaison between the Project Manager and technical disciplines, and act as the primary technical interface with clients, project management, and procurement professionals.
Support a dynamic multi‑discipline environment focusing on Oil, Gas, Chemical, and Bioprocessing projects.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum twelve (12) years of engineering experience and five (5) years in Project Engineering.
Background in Mechanical or Process Engineering and industrial design.
Experience with Oil, Gas, Chemical, Power, Industrial Manufacturing, Food & Personal Care and Bioprocessing projects.
Experience with codes, industry standards and guidelines (ASME, API, NFPA, & PIP, etc.).
Experience supervising engineers and designers.
Experience with Microsoft Office and scheduling software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera).
Client site visits required, may involve climbing ladders and stairs.
Client projects require U.S. Citizenship.
Bachelor of Sciences in Engineering from an A.B.E.T. accredited program.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Professional Engineering license.
