District Sales Manager, West Join Bruker as a District Sales Manager in the Western United States. The role focuses on managing day‑to‑day sales activities and expanding Bruker Spatial Biology’s business across this region.

Overview Bruker is a leading global analytical instrumentation company, driving innovation in analytical instrumentation for over 60 years. Bruker Spatial Biology is a division that provides spatial biology, genomics, proteomics, and cellular analysis solutions across the life sciences sector.

Territory Western half of the U.S., preferably based in San Francisco, Los Angeles, or San Diego, California.

Responsibilities The District Manager, West focuses on growing and expanding Bruker Spatial Biology’s business and directly managing the district sales team, including day‑to‑day coaching, mentoring, and training.

Essential Functions

Mentor, develop, and set targets for the sales force in the district.

Develop and deliver revenue targets for the assigned life sciences team and manage functional sales responsibilities.

Build and maintain relationships with senior thought leaders and decision makers in the field.

Communicate regularly with Senior Management, providing detailed weekly activity reports and sales forecasts.

Review and validate sales team opportunity funnel weekly to ensure accuracy.

Ensure a smooth sales process from lead generation to close.

Assist and mentor field sales reps in managing local territories and closing deals, focusing on key accounts.

Provide feedback to marketing, sales, service, apps, and logistics.

Travel with field representatives to monitor progress in specific territories.

Organize regular district sales meetings and calls.

Other duties as defined, broadly aligned with above objectives.

Qualifications

BS, MS, or Ph.D. in Biology, Molecular Biology, or related field (business degree a plus).

Minimum 5 years of experience managing sales teams in life sciences, with preference for high‑value capital equipment, consumables, and contract research services.

Demonstrated history of building high‑performing teams and motivating success.

Knowledge of genomics and cellular analysis technologies.

Experience selling into academic, government, and biotech accounts.

Ability to work in a fast‑paced, high‑growth environment.

Entrepreneurial, metric‑driven, detail oriented, and multitaskable.

Capability to execute weekly forecasting for systems and consumables.

Excellent communication skills and good judgement.

Proficient computer skills and CRM data input experience.

Understanding of life‑science funding cycles and value‑based pricing.

Hands‑on style, willing to “pitch in” to get things done.

Outstanding business acumen, organizational, analytical, and problem‑solving skills.

Willingness to travel 50–75%.

Compensation & Benefits The estimated base salary range for this full‑time position is $118,000 – $188,000 per year. Full‑time employees may also be eligible for performance‑related incentives and a comprehensive benefits package, including 401(k) with company match, stock purchase plan, medical, dental, life insurance, short‑term and long‑term disability, employee assistance program, paid vacation, sick time, holidays, and more.
