Job Summary We have an exciting opportunity for a Nuclear Medicine Technologist PRN to join North Suburban Medical Center, part of HCA Healthcare. Your passion for patient care and dedication to clinical excellence will be valued in this role.
Responsibilities
Provide technical quality testing for neonates, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients in the laboratory setting, ensuring compliance with CAP, JCAHO, OSHA, AABB, FDA, and CLIA standards.
Apply and deepen your understanding of the MT practice; continuously improve clinical testing through formal and informal education.
Maintain current knowledge of all procedures and protocols.
Perform required quality control and function verification of equipment.
Qualifications
ASCP, HEW or AMT certification required within 6 months of hire; continuous employment depends on valid certification. ASCP preferred.
High school diploma or GED required.
College graduate or equivalent who has passed a certification examination for Medical Technologist by ASCP, HEW or AMT, or completed an accredited MLT program; ASCP Board Certification also accepted.
Experience in a hospital laboratory is desired but not mandatory.
