Job Description
Provides
Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO)
support to the ISSM, ensuring compliance with
DoD, DON, NAVSEA, DISA , and other cybersecurity frameworks while maintaining and updating A&A documentation and RMF packages for classified and unclassified systems.
Conducts
continuous system monitoring, vulnerability assessments, forensic analysis, and intrusion detection , employing approved tools such as
ACAS, STIG Manager, eMASS, and FMATS
to assess compliance, identify risks, and report findings.
Supports
incident response, risk mitigation, and spillage management , maintaining documentation of cybersecurity metrics, IP address management, and configuration compliance across NSWCDD networks (uRDTE, cRDTE, SDREN).
Develops and delivers
cybersecurity training materials , tracking user participation and feedback to improve awareness and compliance with Government-approved security policies and procedures.
Ensures
governance and reporting of cybersecurity posture , including system maintenance, certificate and token management, and coordination with ISSM, ACIO, and Cybersecurity Branch Head for data calls, assessments, and program oversight.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's level degree in an Engineering discipline.
Six (6) years of professional experience in relation to IT security with the DoD or Navy. Experience with vulnerability analysis, risk analysis, SCAP scans, DISA Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) implementation, scanning for viruses and other software that is detrimental.
Qualified experience in accreditation of systems and audits. Conducts and leads TEMPEST testing using approved test plan, the production test procedures and the current National TEMPEST Standard.
This position is required to be designated as IAT III level with a T5.
