Assistant Store Manager - Wesley Chapel, Decatur, GA . Position Overview:
The primary responsibility of the Assistant Store Manager is to support the Store Manager in managing daily store operations to maximize sales and profitability. This includes merchandising, managing expenses and inventory, training staff, human resources, and delivering excellent customer service. Key Responsibilities:
Oversee the performance and quality of the retail store staff. Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures. Lead by example to motivate the team towards store goals and training standards. Assist in recruiting, hiring, and training store personnel. Support performance evaluations and provide feedback to staff. Help manage expenses and develop strategies to meet financial targets. Monitor store operations to minimize loss and ensure standards are met. Ensure operational compliance, safety, and business standards. Train employees in selling and merchandising techniques. Maintain high customer service standards to ensure a positive shopping experience. Assist with merchandise inventory counts and other duties as assigned. Note: A standard workweek does not exceed 40 hours and may include days, nights, weekends, and holidays. Qualifications:
Minimum of one (1) year experience in retail management. Skills and Knowledge:
Strong business knowledge and excellent communication skills. High interpersonal skills, tact, and diplomacy. Strategic thinking, planning, and organizational skills. Professionalism and discretion. Analytical skills for data gathering and problem-solving. Results-driven with project and time management skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office. Willingness to work across multiple stores within the district. Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and work in a fast-paced environment. Reliable transportation and willingness to travel. Additional Information:
