The primary purpose of the Assistant Store Manager is to assist the Store Manager in overseeing daily store operations, ensuring maximum sales and profitability through merchandising, managing expenses and inventory, training and developing the store team, human resources management, and delivering outstanding customer service. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Oversee the quality and performance of retail store staff. Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures. Model effective leadership to motivate the team towards store goals and training standards. Assist with recruitment, selection, training, and development of store personnel. Support the Store Manager with performance evaluations of employees. Assist in expense management and develop strategies to meet budget goals. Monitor and address issues related to store loss or inconsistencies to meet shrinkage goals. Ensure operational compliance, safety, and business standards are maintained. Support employee training in selling and merchandising techniques. Uphold company customer service standards to provide a friendly environment. Assist with merchandise inventory counts. Perform other duties as assigned. Work hours are up to 40 hours per week with a flexible schedule including days, nights, weekends, and holidays. Qualifications
Minimum of one (1) year in retail management. Skills include effective communication, interpersonal skills, strategic thinking, professionalism, data analysis, project management, confidentiality, organizational skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office, and willingness to travel within the district. Physical Requirements
Stand for extended periods, lift/carry/push/pull up to 50 lbs. Work extended hours in a fast-paced environment. Reliable transportation and willingness to travel. Equal Opportunity Statement
