Job Summary: The Tax Principal collaborates closely with partners, staff, and clients to plan, manage, review, and complete client engagements. We seek a motivated leader who will become an integral part of the firm and lead in the office.

Our goal is to help clients minimize tax liabilities while ensuring compliance with evolving laws. Services include consulting on stock options, international tax, investments, mergers, reorganizations, and liquidations.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Manage and review complex tax returns for individuals, businesses, and trusts.

Stay updated on tax law changes, advising clients accordingly.

Lead tax engagements from planning through delivery, monitoring budgets and fees.

Build strong client relationships through exceptional service and understanding their needs.

Lead meetings and presentations, clearly communicating tax concepts.

Manage engagement profitability by overseeing budgets, billing, and expectations.

Participate in business development activities to attract new clients.

Education and Experience:

Bachelor’s and/or Master’s in Accounting.

Active CPA license.

10+ years in high-net-worth tax planning, compliance, and consulting.

Deep knowledge of estate, gift, and trust tax laws, including IRC Sections 671-679 and estate tax principles.

Experience with wealth transfer strategies and private client services.

Ability to develop tax strategies and oversee complex client engagements.

Proficiency with tax software (e.g., CCH Axcess) and Microsoft Office.

Experience supervising and developing staff.
