Hardware Validation Engineer – Associate III (Semiconductor S/W Product Development)

You Are: As a Hardware Validation Engineer at UST, you will be responsible for end‑to‑end setup and validation of x86 and SoC platforms, ensuring functional integrity, power efficiency, and thermal stability. Your scope will span hardware orchestration, lab instrumentation, data analysis, and issue escalation.
The Opportunity:
Set up and validate electrical and functional aspects of x86/SoC platforms
Configure thermal setups, oscilloscopes, debuggers, and power tools
Execute test plans including stress, functional, and power benchmarking
Manage multiple lab systems to ensure uptime and operational consistency
Debug PCB, chip‑level, and network‑related issues; document findings
Update and improve automation scripts for enhanced testing coverage
Monitor DAQ/DMM‑based power measurements and analyze system logs
Support fuse programming and chip screening for performance validation
Collaborate with engineering teams to elevate anomalies and root causes

What You Need:
Diploma or B.E. in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering
3+ years of hands‑on experience in system‑level hardware testing
Platform assembly and validation for x86 and GPU systems
Working knowledge of Windows and Linux for validation workflows
Scripting experience in Python, Bash, JavaScript or similar
Skilled in using lab equipment (oscilloscopes, DAQs, DMMs, logic analyzers)
Strong Excel proficiency for tracking and reporting validation data
Familiarity with post‑silicon testing and functional screening
Compensation & Location Location: California
Compensation Range: $70,000–$105,000 per year.
Benefits Full‑time, regular employees accrue a minimum of 10 days of paid vacation per year, receive 6 days of paid sick leave each year (pro‑rated for new hires throughout the year), 10 paid holidays, and are eligible for paid bereavement leave and jury duty. Eligible for the Company’s 401(k) Retirement Plan with employer matching.
