Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Responsible for adherence to the Cardinal Rules of Safety.
Perform inspections on products, including manufactured and purchased components.
Assist in First Article Inspection (weld qualification) as required.
Collect and record data from Programmable Measuring Systems.
Perform analytical testing within the Quality Inspection Area.
Assist with administrative duties within the Quality Inspection Area.
Support Weld Process Quality Lead in tracking performance results.
Develop relationships in a highly matrixed organization and drive cross-functional teamwork.
Work with minimal supervision.
Interpret weld requirements from engineering drawings, inspection plans, procedures, and work instructions.
Perform all tasks safely, efficiently, accurately, and productively according to company policies.
Assist with inspector training and provide support as needed.
Attend scheduled work hours reliably and maintain good attendance.
Follow company policies and procedures.
Perform other assigned tasks.

Qualifications
Education:
High School diploma or equivalent, based on experience.
Licenses/Certifications:
AWS CWI (preferred, not required).
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
At least three years' experience in a quality weld inspection role, preferably with an active certified quality system (ISO, AS, etc.).
Welding experience is preferred but not required.
Ability to perform weld inspection to AWS D1.1 standards.
Ability to pass visual acuity tests.
Proficiency with gauges such as Cam Gauge, Fillet gauges, V-WAC, etc.
Experience with weld and sheet metal inspection.
Basic problem-solving skills.
Ability to interpret engineering drawings.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
Effective communication skills.
Attention to detail.
Ability to read and understand 2D drawings.
Mathematical skills for measurements and calculations.
Common sense and ability to follow detailed instructions.
Ability to handle standardized problems involving concrete variables.
Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
Dependability and efficiency in work.
Training:
Orientation.
Working Conditions & Physical Requirements

Arm, wrist, hand, finger movements.
Bending and twisting of neck and trunk.
