Job Summary The Global Logistics Excellence Manager will help carve out the future of our global supply chain by driving strategic transformation across our worldwide logistics network. You will influence global efficiency, leading critical projects focused on operational improvements, global process standardization, network simplification, and the implementation of cutting‑edge warehouse and transportation automation and supporting technologies. This role directly impacts our bottom line and long‑term sustainability by building the next generation of logistics systems and processes for Hills.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and implement major global systems projects, serving as the logistics expert for software (WMS, YMS, TMS, etc.) enhancements and process standardization across all regions.
Drive the execution of the strategic Reimagine Supply Chain initiatives, focusing on the adoption of global warehouse automation, digital tools, and robotics to optimize efficiency.
Create and facilitate Divisional Logistics best practices, including conducting regular knowledge‑sharing sessions to ensure consistent, high‑performing global logistics standards.
Manage and deliver global logistics continuous improvement and cost‑efficiency projects across warehouse, transportation, and e‑Commerce operations, ensuring robust tracking and reporting.
Collaborate strategically with global 3PL providers and internal finance/regional logistics teams to negotiate tenders, manage relationships, and identify innovative system‑enabled solutions.
Own global Inventory and SLOB (Slow‑Moving and Obsolete) KPIs, collaborating with regional teams to ensure adherence to the Always Fit Process for continuous inventory optimization.
Partner with Finance and regional operations to reconcile operational and financial inventory reports, ensuring data accuracy and supporting financial control.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations, Systems, or a closely related technical/analytical field.
Minimum of 5 years of supply‑chain or logistics experience, with significant experience in driving large‑scale logistics systems implementation and improvement (e.g., WMS, TMS, YMS, and ERP logistics modules), warehouse and transportation process improvements (e.g., piece picking, D2C, truck utilization, TLB), WH storage densification, logistics network design, and transformational initiatives.
Proven proficiency in using data and analytical tools to assess and execute process improvements.
Preferred Qualifications
Demonstrated experience in leading or significantly contributing to logistics systems and process projects (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
Experience with warehouse automation, robotics, or other digital supply‑chain transformations.
Exceptional communication and collaboration skills, with the proven ability to influence and drive change across diverse global stakeholders.
Strong financial acumen and analytical skills, leveraging platforms like SAP/BI, Domo, or Snowflake to inform strategic decisions.
Compensation & Benefits Salary range: $104,000.00 – $150,000.00 USD. Pay is determined based on experience, qualifications, and location. Salaried employees may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses, profit sharing, and long‑term incentives for executive‑level roles.
Benefits include medical, dental, vision, basic life insurance, paid parental leave, disability coverage, and participation in the 401(k) retirement plan with company matching contributions subject to eligibility requirements. Additional benefits include a minimum of 15 vacation/PTO days (hourly employees receive a minimum of 120 hours) and 13 paid holidays. Paid sick leave is adjusted based on role and location in accordance with local laws.
