JOB SUMMARY Monday-Friday 8 am- 5 pm

The Purchasing Associate supports the procurement team in sourcing, purchasing, and inventory management of goods and services. This role ensures the timely acquisition of quality materials at the most cost-effective prices. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and has a strong understanding of supply chain operations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Procurement Operations

Assist in sourcing suppliers, evaluating quotes, and negotiating contracts to secure the best value.

Prepare purchase orders and ensure accurate documentation in procurement systems.

Track orders and monitor delivery schedules to ensure timely receipt of goods.

Vendor Management

Maintain strong relationships with suppliers and address any issues related to pricing, quality, or delivery.

Evaluate vendor performance based on quality, pricing, and service levels.

Inventory Management

Collaborate with the warehouse and inventory team to monitor stock levels and avoid shortages or overstocking.

Conduct regular inventory audits to maintain accuracy and compliance.

Compliance & Reporting

Ensure adherence to company procurement policies and regulatory standards.

Generate reports on purchasing activities, costs, and supplier performance.

Process Improvement

Identify opportunities to streamline purchasing processes and improve efficiency.

Implement cost-saving measures while maintaining quality standards.

METRICS AND MEASUREMENTS

Timeliness of order fulfillment (e.g., on-time delivery rate).

Cost savings achieved through negotiation and vendor management.

Accuracy of purchase orders and inventory records.

Supplier performance ratings based on quality and reliability.

QUALIFICATIONS

Basic Computer Skills

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS REQUIRED

Strong understanding of procurement processes and supply chain management.

Proficiency in procurement software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar ERP systems).

Excellent negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.

Attention to detail with strong organizational abilities.

Ability to work collaboratively across departments and manage multiple priorities.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field preferred..

1–3 years of experience in purchasing or procurement roles.

Knowledge of inventory management principles is preferred.

Certification in procurement (e.g., Certified Purchasing Professional (CPP) or Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM)) is a plus.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

This is an office job and entails physical associated with operating a telephone and computer (viewing monitor, keyboard, mouse)

BONUS/COMMISSION PLAN Eligible for commission after successful completion of introductory 90 days.
