General Summary:
We're looking for a dependable and experienced Shipping Team Lead to help manage daily outbound operations in our warehouse. In this safety‑sensitive role, you'll lead the shipping crew to ensure all orders are picked, packed, and shipped accurately and on time. This is a safety sensitive position.
Job Duties
Lead the shipping team in preparing and processing outgoing orders.
Verify orders against pick tickets and shipping documents for accuracy.
Safely operate forklifts and other material‑handling equipment (MHE).
Coordinate loading of trucks and ensure shipments are secured properly.
Maintain up‑to‑date records in the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
Inspect outgoing materials for quality, accuracy, and packaging standards.
Train and support new team members on shipping procedures and best practices.
Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Cross‑train with other warehouse departments as directed.
Other duties as assigned.
Preferred Education and Qualifications
In‑depth knowledge of warehouse, sit‑down forklift and other MHE.
Knowledge of spelling, grammar, and basic arithmetic.
Experience using RF scanner is required.
Work Environment
Warehouse work requires standing and walking on a concrete floor over 90% of the workday.
If operating MHE, getting on and off the equipment will be necessary throughout the workday.
Office areas are heated and air‑conditioned. However, overall conditions and temperatures will reflect local weather conditions. Warehouses are not heated or air‑conditioned. Warehouse conditions may be dusty.
Must be capable of climbing, stooping, kneeling, and crouching regularly.
Ability to lift 50 pounds repetitively for short periods.
Ability to work flexible hour schedule including extended hours as required.
Able to begin work at the start of the designated shift.
Must be able to work a flexible schedule to include holidays and weekends. Weekend hours include opening and closing the building on scheduled Saturday shifts.
