Alliances Field Engineer
to support our major partners (like Intel, Nvidia, Google, Dell, HP, Accenture, Tata) in adopting our open source platform. Our global field engineering team applies expert insights to customer problems, enabling enterprise adoption of Ubuntu, OpenStack, Kubernetes, AI/MLOps, and related technologies. We are experts across the open source stack, from kernel to desktop, cloud to edge. We also focus on business challenges—building reliable, efficient, and cost-effective solutions—and communicating effectively with our customers and their industries. We assist global companies in embracing cloud infrastructure, cloud-native operations, and open source applications. We are seeking several Alliances Engineers to support OEMs, GSIs, ISVs, channel partners, and cloud alliance partners. Your role will involve supporting partners in adopting our products, helping define joint go-to-market strategies from a technical perspective. Our field engineers are tasked with providing comprehensive, well-informed support on our solutions and products, ensuring the best outcomes for partners and customers. Location:

Understanding Ubuntu, Linux, networking, and services in real-world environments Architecting cloud infrastructure solutions like Kubernetes, Kubeflow, OpenStack, Ceph, and Spark on-premises or in public clouds (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) Architecting and integrating open source software such as PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Kafka, Cassandra, and NGINX Supporting partners in offering and designing joint solutions with Canonical technologies on cloud and data centers Creating and validating joint reference architectures with partners Conducting onboarding sessions and workshops to promote Canonical products and solutions If you are passionate about open source, cloud-native development, data center technologies, and networking, this role is ideal for you.
