Fund Controller - Boston MA - Private Credit Our team is working with a leading credit fund based in Boston looking to hire a Fund Controller for their growing team. The Fund Controller will oversee multiple funds and report to the CFO. Responsibilities include managing finance and accounting functions and coordinating with internal and external stakeholders. Responsibilities:
Lead and manage financial reporting, year-end audits, and quarterly reporting for private funds. Coordinate with the Investor Product Team to prepare quarterly investor letters, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. Oversee the internal finance and operations teams, and manage relationships with third-party administrators. Review funds across various jurisdictions, working with Tax and Compliance teams on tax and compliance issues. Review capital allocation, incentive fees, and fund NAV, ensuring accuracy of the NAV package. Supervise and approve fund expenses and invoices. Collaborate with the executive team to improve processes and systems for operational efficiency. Engage with auditors, administrators, and custodians to ensure proper fund management. Provide leadership and mentorship to the finance team, fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration. Coordinate with Legal, Tax, Investor Relations, and Operations teams for comprehensive fund management. Stay informed on industry trends, market conditions, and regulatory changes affecting fund operations. Qualifications:
11+ years of experience in finance roles with increasing responsibility, including fund accounting, tax, operations, controls, and financial management. Experience in building and leading finance teams; strong relationship management skills preferred. Experience in asset management, direct lending, and Mezz loan strategies across jurisdictions is preferred. Top academic credentials (e.g., BS or BA from a reputable institution), with professional credentials such as MBA, CFA, or CPA preferred. This is a full-time hybrid role (3 days onsite, 2 days remote) offering up to $225K base salary, up to 25% bonus, profit sharing, and full benefits.
