Minimum Requirements
Ten (10) years of experience managing the planning, design, construction, and coordination of capital projects
Preferred Experience
Experience with scoping and planning of new construction and/or modernization projects
Experience with LEED and/or CHPS projects
Experience with development of major facilities including CEQA, agency approvals, and coordination with City and County agencies
Experience with project delivery and procurement methods for public projects
Community engagement experience and strong communication skills
Experience utilizing Building Information Modeling (BIM)
Experience in Formal Construction Partnering
Education and Certifications
Bachelor's degree in architecture, engineering, or construction management from a recognized college or university
Preferred licenses and certificates: Architect or Professional Engineer registration in California, Construction Manager (CCM), LEED Professional Accreditation
Responsibilities
Plan and coordinate pre-construction activities for new and modernization projects
Manage scope, schedule, budget, and overall success of multiple projects
Resolve complex planning, design, and construction issues
Develop and monitor performance of project teams
Report on project progress, budget, and issues to stakeholders
Review project phases, schedules, and progress
Coordinate with utility and government agencies
Assist with contract planning and review
Manage project finances and contracts
Oversee project schedules, costs, disputes, and quality control
Coordinate with various departments and agencies
Develop internal policies and procedures
Perform other related duties
