Role Overview CHAOS seeks a highly-skilled Senior Embedded Software Engineer to support R&D and product engineering, focusing on next-generation radar products. This collaborative role offers the opportunity to work across multiple capabilities within our product offerings and expand your skills across various product families.
Responsibilities
Research & Development (R&D) and production software development for radar products
Support system integration of software on hardware, mainly COTS hardware
Support deployed software capabilities for U.S. and international customers
Work full-time on-site in Los Angeles (Hawthorne), California
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor’s or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
10+ years in professional, object-oriented software development
Extensive experience with Python
Experience with Agile processes, Scrum, CI, TDD
Ability to work independently and in small teams
Solid understanding of Linux-based software development
U.S. Person status required to access U.S.-only data systems
Preferred Requirements
Experience with real-time embedded software, CUDA, C++, Rust, NodeJS, Java, Go
Development experience with radars, signal processing, target detection, tracking
Current or previous DoD security clearance
Experience with networks, SDRs, advanced time synchronization, git, containers, cloud computing, BIOS, encryption, visualization, system architectures, modeling & simulation, DevOps, CI/CD, and high-TRL systems

Compensation Salary range: $145,000 - $220,000. This range reflects base salary only; actual compensation may vary based on experience, skills, and other factors. We encourage all qualified candidates to apply regardless of salary expectations.
