Role Overview Location: Remote Type: Contract (3-6 months), with potential to convert to a full-time role As a Kotlin/Java Software Engineer, you will collaborate with our lead engineer on a project involving tools to improve Facer's compatibility with external platforms. This role requires expertise in structured data handling and problem-solving, focusing on efficient, maintainable code. Responsibilities Develop and maintain software using Kotlin and Java. Handle serialization formats like JSON and XML for structured data management. Write, maintain, and improve code that converts data formats. Collaborate closely with the team for smooth project execution. Qualifications Strong experience with Kotlin and Java. Proficiency in serialization formats like JSON and XML. Experience in writing custom scripting languages. Solid math skills, including trigonometry, geometry, and rendering techniques (e.g., 2D transformations, vector calculations). Familiarity with the Android Build System. Bonus Points Knowledge of Google's Watch Face Format or similar standards. Experience with the Facer platform or Watch Face Studio.
