Duties & Responsibilities:
Review and analyze cyber-relevant information from security reports, DoD policies, and statutes. Implement and monitor security measures for communication systems and networks, ensuring compliance with standards. Develop and execute data network security plans. Create and document security test procedures. Assist with cybersecurity controls, addressing concerns, reviewing documents, and providing feedback in line with DOD standards. Conduct Risk Management Framework (RMF) and Information Security Continuous Monitoring (ISCM) activities. Support maintenance and management of Information System Accreditation to maintain authority to operate. Prepare artifacts and documentation for assessment and authorization processes. Implement NAVSEA security policies and practices. Review system audit trails and security incident reports. Perform system backups and recovery. Perform internal and external security assessments. Provide system planning support for joint exercises and test events. Advise management on security programs and initiatives. Track security program performance and recommend improvements. Review agency performance metrics and coordinate risk management efforts. Provide Authority to Operate (ATO) documentation prior to system deployment. Research and review DISA STIGs, providing compliance recommendations. Recommend security policies and technical safeguards for classified information. Monitor and interpret cybersecurity policies and regulations. Draft directives, instructions, and policies for government review. Keep the government informed of system security status. Oversee security engineering activities to ensure compliance. Perform administrative functions as directed. Other duties as assigned. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs):
Mandatory: IAT III certification (CISSP or equivalent). Strong task management, communication, and customer service skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite. Minimum/General Experience:
At least 7 years in analyzing IT security specifications, configuring security systems, and securing networks. At least 5 years designing and implementing security measures and handling privacy breaches. At least 2 years in system administration or security roles, including networking and firewall management. Supervisory experience of at least 1 year. Minimum Education:
Bachelor's degree in engineering, scientific, or technical discipline plus 7 years of IT experience. Or 11 years of professional IT experience. Disclaimer:
